Dedham Trails Day Sprint & Splash
Welcome to the 2017 Dedham Trails Day! Join the Town of Dedham, Legacy Place, L.L. Bean and many Dedham businesses and community organizations for Dedham Trails Day on Saturday, May 20th from 9am-1:00pm. This multi- event day kicks off with the Junior Sprint & Splash (ages 8-14) at 9am. The Junior event is free and is a slightly shorter course with a 5K Trail Run and a 1 mile paddle, compared to the 15+ age group Sprint & Splash, which is a 5K Trail Run and 2 mile paddle on the Dedham Water Trail. The 15+ age group Sprint & Splash begins at 9:30am. Both races begin at NewBridge on the Charles Campus and winds through their scenic trails to Whitcomb Woods and Dolan Center Trails where runners will board kayaks for a paddle to Motley Pond and back. We will have 18 boats available to the first 18 registered participants! Don't delay, register and reserve your boat today!
REGISTRATION: Registration is available through Racewire up until the night before the race. Race day registration opens at 8:00am. All participants will receive a free swag bag with Dedham Trails and other participating organizations gear and gift cards.
WHERE TO MEET: All races begin at Newbridge on the Charles, 5000 Great Meadow Road, Dedham. Drop off personal boat or SUP at the Dolan Recreation Center, 269 Common Street, Dedham before going to the start.
WHAT TO BRING: PFD (required), stand-up paddleboard or kayak, paddle, weather appropriate clothing (layers; no cotton), closed-toed shoes or water shoes, water, energy snacks and personal medications. If using your own equipment, you must check in 30 minutes early for inspection of your gear and then go to NewBridge on the Charles for the start of the race at 9am.
ALL MORNING: Runners and visitors alike are invited to Dedham Trails Day from from 10am-1:00pm at the Dolan Center, 269 Common Street where there will be free food and beverages, face painting, and free kids activities provided by local community groups and businesses, as well as free kayak, canoe, SUP and fly-casting demos with L.L. Bean.
Dedham Trails Day 5k Trail Run/Walk
Welcome to the 2017 Dedham Trails Day! Join the Town of Dedham, Legacy Place and many Dedham businesses and community organizations for Dedham Trails Day 5k Trail Race/Walk. The race will start at 9:45am at NewBridge on the Charles Campus, 5000 Great Meadow Road, Dedham, MA.
